A Photographers Opinion
44First blog - Experiences So Far.
So this is my first ever blog, something I have never done/experienced before and am quiet unsure of what to say. However I think I'll start with my overall experience so far in my first month of being at Hertfordshire studying Photography. So far I've found that University is a far more individually based lifestyle, when given a project you are expected to get on with it, which is nice as I've been able to develop some responsibility. In starting our first project based under the title Documentary Photography, we were able to go out and research all our own artists and photographers that caught our eye. One that really caught my eye was a photograph produced by Robert Capa, where a soldier had been photographed being shot, and who ended up dieing. There was so much commotion around this photo about it not being real, saying that the image was staged and that he asked the soldier to act like he'd been shot. I found this very interesting as it really tests this whole idea of documentary photography, we believe what we see without any other evidence, but is it actually true - did it actually happen?
